
Nick Ellis band is exploding on to the scene as one of Vancouver’s top country groups. Formed through love of music, the band takes influence from all types of music including jazz, rock, pop, and classic as well as modern country. The core group consists of Capilano University music students Nick Varelas (vocals), Adrian Sowa (guitar) and Francis Henson (guitar), who take these musical styles and infuse them into a signature modern country sound.
MEET THE BAND
Nick Varelas (Vocals)

Nick Varelas is a multi instrumentalist and vocalist. He is an accomplished pop and country musician and is a member of several local bands, including his own Nick Ellis Band. He frequently plays around the lower mainland, in venues such as the Commodore and the Roxy. Educated at both Capilano University and Vancouver Community College, Nick enjoys putting elements of jazz, pop, and electronic music into his country compositions, creating a signature sound that stands out in the modern country scene.
Adrian Sowa (Guitar)

Is nice and plays guitar.
Francis Henson (Guitar)

Francis Henson is a singer/songwriter from Port Moody, BC. Now with 2 albums released: “Roots” & “Stride - EP” (both available on Spotify/Apple Music/most major streaming platforms), Francis and his live band (featuring either 4-piece or 7-piece configurations) currently perform concerts highlighting original material as well as crowd-favourite covers in venues across Vancouver.
